Liability for links

This website and the newsletter contain links to external websites. I have no influence on their content and accept no liability for it. The respective provider is always responsible for linked pages. If I become aware of any legal violations, I will remove such links immediately.

Privacy policy

This site is deliberately minimal: no cookies, no analytics and no fonts, scripts or other resources loaded from third-party servers. Personal data is only processed as described below.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the person named in the imprint above.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit the site, the server records technical data such as your IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL and browser. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable and secure website). Log files are deleted after 7 days. A data processing agreement with ALL-INKL.COM is in place.

3. Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is processed in order to send you the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

The signup form sends your email address to this website's server, which passes it on to beehiiv. To be able to prove your consent, the server logs your email address, IP address, the time of sign-up and your consent. If you came via a link with campaign parameters (utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content), these are passed to beehiiv as well, so I can see which channel brought you here. Subscription uses a double opt-in procedure: you will receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription, and only then will you get the newsletter.

The newsletter is sent via beehiiv, a service of beehiiv Inc., 228 Park Ave S, #29976, New York, NY 10003, USA. Your data is stored on beehiiv's servers in the United States. Data transfers to the US are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). A data processing agreement with beehiiv is in place. For details, see beehiiv's privacy policy.

beehiiv records whether a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked. This helps me understand which topics are useful to readers and is covered by your consent to receive the newsletter.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter, or by sending me an email. Your data will then be removed from the mailing list; the consent log is kept only as long as needed to prove that consent was given.

4. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your message and contact details in order to reply. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your request has been handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21) and to withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)). Just send me an email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
